These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

The Lions Club of Gadag Betgeri conducted an Eye Donation activity as part of its ongoing humanitarian initiatives. The program was held on 12th May 2026 at 10:00 AM, and marked a noble contribution to society by supporting eye donation to help restore vision for those in need. The eye donation was done in memory of Mr. Basappa Hiremani , Gadag . His family generously came forward to fulfill his wish of donating his eyes, setting a remarkable example of compassion and social responsibility. Members of the Lions Club, along with medical personnel, visited the residence to coordinate and carry out the eye donation procedure. The team ensured that all formalities and medical protocols were smoothly completed. The presence of Lions Club volunteers in their signature yellow vests highlighted their commitment to serving the community with dedication. During the program, club members expressed their gratitude to the family for their meaningful gesture, acknowledging that such donations play a crucial role in transforming lives. The medical team also shared insights about the importance of eye donation and how one donor can illuminate the world for two visually impaired individuals. The Eye Donation activity concluded with heartfelt respect to the donor and appreciation for the family’s humanitarian decision. The initiative reinforced the Lions Club’s mission of service and awareness, encouraging more people to pledge for eye donation.
