As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Making an Impact, One Activity at a Time!
Study tour to Waste recycling plant
President and members of the club participated in a study tour at the WooW plant at Chicalim, which focusses on recycling waste. The members understood the process involved, classification of waste types and the importance of segregation of waste. This will help the club in spreading the message and creating awareness amongst the general public as to the importance of waste segregation and recycling

Health Check-up conducted by LC Old Goa on 12th July at Old Age Home, Diwar, Tiswadi, Goa.
LC Old Goa conducted Health Check-up for 25 inmates of Lar Santa Margarida Old Age Home. Dr. Subodh (Sub P.H.C., Diwar) conducted the check up along with the nurses and Ayurvedic Doctor Rucha. Health Check-up was done to the Lion members.

45th Club BOD Installation.
45th BOD Installation Ceremony. The 45th BOD installation ceremony of LC Avedem Paroda was held on 5th July 2025 at 8 pm in Panchayat community hall at Avedem Goa. BOD lead by first lady president Lion Shakuntala Raut Dessai was installed by PDG MJF Lion Vasudev Valawlikar. Hon. MLA of Curchorem constituency, was the chief guest. Out going president Lion Ujwal Gauns Dessai, felicitated the senior members of the club. Installation Ceremony was attended by lions from different clubs of Goa.

Felicitation Ceremony. LC Avedem felicitated five top ranking students at the S.S.C. board examinations from surrounding schools. Mast. Velan Fernandes from Chandranath Education Society’s School, Assolda Goa. Mast. Kiran Ghadi, from Govt. High School, Xeldem Goa. Mast.Rupesh Yadav from Damodar High School, Gudi Paroda Goa. Mast. Austin Carvalho from Marry Immaculate High School, Avedem Goa. And adv. Manjunath Gaonkar for successfully completing LLB examination. All were presented with a memento and a certificate. Mr. Venkatesh Ganesh Prabhu Dessai, was felicitated for being a Ultra Marathon Runner. He was presented with a shawl and a memento.
