As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Duff and Dumb Screening
Dr. S R Chandrashekhar Deff and Dumb institute doctors and van hospital visited Kumta and area and Lions Club of Kumta has organized Medical Checkup camp for needy people. Around 48 needy patients were screened and advised accordingly.

Hosting district Governor's 1st zone advisory meeting of zone 1 Region 2 of ZC lion Gaurish vernekar
On 21st September 2025 club hosted district governor 1st zone advisory meeting of zone 1 Region 2 of ZC lion Gaurish vernekar at Fabs music and sports cafe Gogol fatorda salcete goa.PST and members of LC of canacona,Navelim,Margao south,Gomant Gogol and host club salcete were present .Lion sunil kavlekar RDC for IT gave presentation of how to upload activities on international and district portal. PDG PMJF lion Erle Britto was the chief guest for the function

Club twinning program
L C of salcete, LC of Gomant Gogol and LC of coimbatore enterpreneur organised a twinning program on 16th September 2025 at Hotel Margao residency.Twinning program was mainly get-together and share of ideas and thoughts how to promote lionism. Program was attended by PST and members of all the three club and also by RC Lion Dharmu Raut desai and ZC lion Gaurish vernekar.past district governor MJF Lion chandrakant Hiremath.visiting lions club members were presented with mementos and our district pins.

Free health checkup camp
Free health checkup camp was organised on 14th sept 2025 at St Joseph high school shiroda.The camp was held in association with Gomantak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya shiroda and shree kamakshidevi Homeopathic college shiroda.chief guest was shri Subhash shirodkar Hon minister for WRD. Parish priest father Leslie was the guest of honour.sarpanch and panchayat members were also present. More than 280 people benifited from the camp. Our zone chairman Lion gaurish vernekar was also present for the camp. Diabetes detection, blood pressure checkup, dental check, ENT,ECG.test was undertaken.
