As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Childhood Cancer Awareness talk organized by LCJ
On the occasion of International Childhood Cancer Day (15.02.2026), we, the Lions Club of Jamkhandi (Dist. 317-B, Region-11, Zone-3), organized an impactful awareness program titled "A Talk on Childhood Cancer Awareness." The event took place on 17-02-2026 at 09:50 AM at the Government Higher Secondary School & Pre University College, Hunnur, specifically curated for the students to nurture a healthier and more informed future generation. The keynote awareness talk was delivered by the esteemed Nadoj. MJF Dr. Daddi, who educated the students in a caring and accessible manner. The session focused on the critical importance of early health attention, understanding childhood cancer, and the vital role of compassion and support for those affected. The program was successfully conducted with the support of Shri. Santosh K. Talakeri (Headmaster, Govt. Higher Secondary School & PU College, Hunnur) and the dedicated leadership of our club: President: L.n. Dr. M.P. Tanappagol Secretary: L.n. Er. Anand Chougale.

On the occasion of Mahashivarathri LCJ distributed 120 Bilvapathri Saplings were distributed
Today, on the occasion of Mahashivratri, Bilva Patri Saplings were distributed to those who sell flowers and fruits. They will grow them and sell Bilva Patri in the future. This will make it easy for people to get Bilva Patri in the market for worship. On the occasion of Mahashivarathri Lions Club of Jamkhandi distributed 120 Pathri trees to the Devotees of Lord Shiva.

HEALTH CHECKUP AND KNEE JOINTS CHECKUP CAMP
AN ORTHOPEADIC HEALTH CHECK UP CAMP WAS CONDUCTED BY LIONS CLUB GOKAK ON 14.02.2026 AT MILK SOCIETY HALL BETAGERI.DR.RAMESH PATAGUNDI A WELL KNOWN ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON AND OUR SENIOR LION MEMBER,CARRIED OUT THE CAMP ALONG WITH THEIR TEAM.AROUND 60 PATIENTS WERE SCREENED AND ADVISED ABOUT BONE AND KNEE JOINTS.MANY LIONS PARTICIPATED IN THE CAMP.

A PEDIATRIC HEALTH CHECKUP CAMP WAS CONDUCTED BY LIONS CLUB GOKAK AT GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL BETAGERI ON 13.02.2026.DR,PRAMITA MURGOD ,A WELL KNOWN PEDIATRICIAN OF GOKAK CHECKED UP MORE THAN 30 CHILDREN AND ADVISED THE MOPTHERS REGARDING THE MAINTAINANCE OF THE CHILDREN,AND FEEDING THEM.LION PRESIDENT ,AND MANY LIONS WERE PRESENT.

EYE CHECKUP CAMP
A CATARACT EYE CHECK UP CAMP WAS ORGANISED BY LIONS CLUB GOKAK AT PRIMARY HEALTH CENTER BETAGERI VILLAGE ON 12.02.2026 DURING 10AM TO 1PM. AROUND 60 PATIENTS WERE SCREENED.15 PATIENTS ELIGIBLE PATIENTS WERE TESTED FOR DIABETIS AND BP AND FINALLY 5 PATIENTS WERE SENT TO NANDADEEP HOSPITAL,SANGLI FOR CATARACT OPERATION.
