Special Initiative: Weeks of service
As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

water trays for birds in summer
Water trays for birds in summer are one of the simplest and most impactful ways to help wildlife—especially in extreme heat. We, the members of Lions Club of Sindhanur, have taken a small but meaningful initiative by recycling unused ceiling light covers and converting them into water trays for birds. These trays have been placed at suitable locations to help birds stay hydrated during the scorching summer. This eco-friendly effort not only supports our feathered friends but also promotes the message of reuse, care, and compassion for nature.
