As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Distribute plants to all members

Zone level Environment Program was conducted at Harwada Nursary by Zone Chair Person MJF Ln. Anil Shet , Zone II . Zone Clubs Ankola City , Karwar Gokarna and Sadashivgad Presidents and members participated. Lions Club Ankola City hosted the program.Sri Pramod Nayak RFO , Ankola was the Chief Guest.MJF Ln Anil Shet presided and welcomed all the participants.GST Co -ordinator MJF Ln Aishwarya Masurkar , Region Chair Person MJF Ln Rajesh Salehittal, RDC for Environment MJF Ln R H Naik and DC for World wide Environment Ln. Andrian Torress participated as Guests of Honor.One Ankola plant was planted in APJ Abdul Kalam vana by the dignitaries.

World wide entertainment day 18 April to 26 April

The World Environment Service Week "Launch Event" and "Say No to Plastic" were organized by MJF Lion Ravindra Naik (RDC for Environment) at the Kasargod Forest Nursery, Honnavar on 18th April, 2026 Lion Ravi Naik welcomed the gathering. The event was inaugurated by Shri Yogesh C. K. (IFS, Deputy Conservator of Forests, Honnavar Division). He spoke on environmental awareness. He demonstrated the seed ball preparation and sowing process. PDG PMJF Lion Ravi Hegde also shared his views on environmental issues. PDG PMJF Lion Dr. Girish Kuchinad delivered the vote of thanks. Seed balls and Cloth Bags were distributed to all participants. Presidents/Members of the Lions Club of Ankola City, Gokarn, Honnavar, Karwar, Kumta, Murudeshwar, Siddapur, and Sirsi were present. Lion Aishwarya Masurkar (District GST Coordinator), MJF Lion Ashok Hegde (District GLT Coordinator), Lion Adrian Torres (District Coordinator), MJF Lion Rajesh Salehittal (Region Chairperson), Zone Chairperson MJF Lion Mangala Kuchinad, and MJF Lion Anil Shet were the Guests of Honour Mrs. Savita (RFO) and Forest Officials were also present. The event was hosted by Honnavar Lions Club.

E waste disposal Drive

Ewaste was collected from 10 Lion Members at Lions School premises at 7.30 pm. The e waste collected was handed over to ZC MJF Lion Shaila Kargudri, who will be handing over the same to RC PMJF Lion Dnyanesh Natu.

Tree plantation

On 23/4/26, environment week was celebrated by Planting 20 trees at Sheela Koppikar Vidya Mandir, Girinagar Dharwad, 10 members participated in the event.
