As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

GMTc Lion Sushant Pokle alongwith President and other 5 members attended Zone Social of Zone 1, Region 1 headed by Zone Chairperson MJF Lion Denial S. Kurien on 12th April 2026 at 10.30am at Cozy Woods Hill Resort, Carambolim, Old Goa

Conducted General Body Meeting
On 10th April Club General Body Meeting was held at La Tara Open Air Venue, Sankhali Goa. Activities for the month of April and May were planned. Also discussed about District Convention. Was a very fruitful and productive Meeting. 22 members were present for the meeting.

District Governors official visit to the club
Lion Sushant Pokle GMTc, President and 1 Cabinet member attended District Governors official visit to Lions Club of Mapusa on 4th April 2026 at 7.30pm at Priti International Hall, Mapusa Goa. Also felicitated the club on the occasion.

On 5th April Lions Club of Sankhali visited Ballika kalyan Ashram, Ponda. Full day meal for inmates was sponsored . 9 Lion members and 6 cubs were present.

District Governors official visit to the club
Lion Sushant Pokle GMTc, President and 1 Cabinet member attended District Governors official visit to the Lions Club of Porvorim on 3rd April 2026 at 7.30pm at Lions Medical Centre at Porvorim Goa. Also felicitated the club on the occasion.

Cub Birthday Celebration at Balika Kalyan Ashram, Ponda.
On 5th April Lions Club of Sankhali visited Ballika kalyan Ashram, Ponda to celebrate our club Adhira Amonkar Birthday. Celebrations started with exciting games , prizes , cake cutting, gifts and dance performances by Aashram Ballikas and even Lion cubs too. It was a lovely get-together full of fun and happiness. School bags were given to all Ashram inmates as a token of Love. 9 Lion members and 6 cubs were present.

World Wide Environment week
Lions Club of Canacona and Leo Club of Canacona on The World-Wide Week of Service Environment week 2026. Our Club is inaugurate on 20th April 2026 E waste collection and new sign board of our Club on the hand of District Governor MJF Lion Jayamol Naik along with RC Dharmu Raut Desai, 20 Lion Members and 10 Leo members were present for the programme. Our Club spend Rs. 15000/- to success this programme.
