As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

THE DISTRICT CABINET INSTALLATION FOR THE BOD 2025-26 WAS HELD ON 26.07.2025. PMJF LIO JAIAOL NAIK WAS INDUCTED OFFICIALLY AS THE DISTRICT GOVERNOR, ALONG WITH HIS CABINET TEAM. I, MJF LION RICHAR PINTO TOO WAS INDUCTED OFFICIALLY AS THE ZC FOR REGION 5, ZONE 2. IT WAS A FABULOUS & A GLITTERING FUNCTION WITH A HUGE ATTENDANCE OF PDGs, INTERNATIONAL DIGNITARIES & GUESTS. ATTENDED BY OVER 600 (LIONS & GUESTS).

ATTENDED THE 1ST CABINET MEETING CHAIRED BY DISTRICT GOVERNOR, PMJF LION JAIAMOL NAIK ON 27TH JULY, 2025 AT RUKMINI HALL, PONDA, GOA. IT WAS A WELL ORGANISED MEETING AND THE AGENDA WAS COMPREHENSIVE. I WAS HAPPY TO BE A PART OF THE MEETING AS IT GAVE ME A LOT OF INSIGHTS INTO THE WORKING OF THE LIONS CLUB INTERNATIONAL. STRESS WAS LAID ON THE 1.5 MILLION MEMBERS TARGET---2027.

THE 24TH INSTALLATION OF THE LIONS CLUB OF MAPUSA SUBURBAN WAS HELD ON 29TH JULY, 2025 AT THE SALIGAO INSTITUTE, SALIGAO, GOA. THE INSTALLATION OFFICER WAS MJF LION SAMEER SURLARKAR (DC - LIONS ALERT). LION ALLEN FERNANDES TOOK OVER THE REINS OF THE PRESIDENTSHIP OF THE CLUB.
