As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

District Governor's First Zone Advisory
The Lions Club of Candolim hosted the District Governor's First Zone Advisory at the Lions Club house in Candolim. Members of Lions Club of Porvorim, Lions Club of Tivim and host Club, Lions Club of attended the Zone Advisory. Zone Chairperson lion Venkatesh Babladi briefed the members about the District Governor's programme for the Lionistic year 2025 - 2026 and appreciated all the clubs for the meaningful activities which were conducted by the clubs. He also requested the clubs to report their activities on the International as well as District portal regularly

GENERAL HEALTH CHECKUP CAMP FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
A FREE GENERAL HEALTH CAMP FOR SENIOR CITIZENS WAS ARRANGED BY LIONS CLUB GOKAK ON 30.08.2025 AT GANESH MANDIR OF GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL GOKAK IN ASSOCIATION WITH TALUKA MEDICAL OFFICER AND MEDICAL OFFICERS OF GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL,ASSOCIATION OF RETIRED STATE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES.105 SENIOR CITIZENS TURNED UP IN THE CAMP. OUT OF THEM,62 WERE TESTED FOR BP ,DIABETIS ,BONE DENSITY.30 WERE TAKEN ECG,34 FOR HEARING PROBLEMS AND 22 FOR EYE DEFFECTS.PRESIDENT,SECRETARY,AND ABOUT 15 LION MEMBERS PARTICIPATED.

Ganesh Chaturthi Decoration Competition
Lions club of Old Goa on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi conducted Decoration competition for residents of Old Goa, Karmali and Corlim residents a total of 10 enteries were received and three were short listed. Cash prizes of 2000/- ,1500, and 1000/- would be given to these winners during Teachers day celebration and RC visit. Donation of Garden Benches for Educational Institution
Activity: Installation of Garden Benches Overview: The Lions Club of Mapuca successfully organized and executed the installation of garden benches at DMC College, Assagao, as part of its community service initiatives. The event aimed to enhance the campus infrastructure by providing seating facilities for students and visitors, fostering a comfortable and conducive environment. Key Attendees: Dr. Dilip Arolkar, Principal, DMC College Professor Ram, Faculty Member, DMC College Mr. Shreedhar Naik, Headmaster, Assagao Union High School MJF Lion Murtaza Matheranwala, Region Chairperson MJF Lion Sudesh Kochrekar, Zone Chairperson MJF Lion Shreya Naik, Club President, Lions Club of Mapuca Club Members from Lions Club of Mapuca, Calangute, and Sakhali. Event Highlights: Inauguration and Installation: The garden benches were formally installed on the DMC College premises in the presence of distinguished guests and club members. The installation was carried out efficiently, ensuring the benches were strategically placed for maximum utility. Participation: The event saw active participation from members of the Lions Club of Mapuca, Calangute, and Sakhali, showcasing strong inter-club collaboration. The presence of the Principal, faculty, and headmaster highlighted the significance of the initiative for the educational institution and the local community. Speeches and Acknowledgments: The Principal, Dr. Dilip Arolkar, expressed gratitude to the Lions Club for their contribution to the college's infrastructure. Region Chairperson MJF Lion Murtaza Matheranwala and Zone Chairperson MJF Lion Sudesh Kochrekar commended the club for its commitment to community service.
