As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Making an Impact, One Activity at a Time!
*Teachers’ Day Celebration *
Our Lions Club celebrated the Teachers’ Day on 05-09-2025 from 10 am to 4 pm at Namadhari Sabha Bhavan Honavar, in association with Honavar Taluka Revenue, Panchayat, TMC and Education Departments. Karnataka State Fisheries Minister Shri Mankala Vaidya, local MLA Shri Dinakar Shetty, all Heads of Government Offices including Education Dept and our President were the guests for the program. 400 Teachers, 20 official staff, 50 public and 15 Lion members attended the programme. 19retired teachers and 7 awarded teachers were honoured. Our Lion member Krishnamurthy Bhat Shivani sponsored the honouring materials costing Rs 35,000/-. All participants were provided with tiffin and lunch. Total expenses: Rs 40,000/-.
