Special Initiative: Weeks of service

As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Service Focus Weeks

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

MOTIVATIONAL TALK TO STUDENTS.

Second activity on 22nd September 2025, Lions Club of Chodan organised a Motivational Talk by Lion.Shri. Avin Naik in association with Poira High school in presence of Lion. Santosh Gaonkar, Lion Vidhyanand Khandepakar & Lion. Deepak Gaonkar along with the Management of Poira High school.

FELICITATION OF STUDENTS.

Lions Club of Chodan President Lion Manoj Mahale, secretary Lion Santosh Gaonkar, treasurer Lion Vidhyanand Khandepakar and Lion Deepak Gaonkar felicitated the students of Poira High School for their outstanding performance in sports at the premises of Poira High school. on 22nd September 2025 for selecting at the National level Bithale race swimming and running under Modern Pentathlon Game which will be held at Indoor Deva Stadium from 5th and 6th October 2025.

Participated in the District Governor Zone Advisory Committee First Meeting on 17th Sept at L C Sankhali club house hosted by Lions Club of Sankhali.

Hosted Zone Advisory Meeting of Zone 2 of Region 4

On 17th September first Zone Advisory meeting of Zone 2 Region 4 headed by Zone Chairperson Ln.Sachin Patil was hosted by Lions Club of Sankhali at 7:00 pm at Club House, Sankhali. 10 members of L C of Sankhali, 4 members of L C of Chodan and 2 members of L C of Bicholim attended the meeting. Clubs administrative and service actikvity report and future projects were presented by secretaries and presidents of all club. Our club member and District Global Membership Team Coordinator MJF Lion Sushant Pokle was invited to speak on the topic membership growth and Mission 1,5. DC for peace Poster Contest MJf Lion Agnelo Dsilva spoke on the topic peace Poster Contest. Meeting ended with serving coffee and snacks to all.

DISTRIBUTION OF VARIOUS PLANT SAPLINGS.

Friday, September 12th, Lions Club of Chodan distributed Seventy (70) plus variety of saplings to local residents of Chodan at the hands of Club President Lion Manoj Mahale, in the presence of Project Chairperson MJF Lion Darryl Fernandes, Club Secretary Lion Santosh Gaonkar & Club Treasurer Lion Vidhyanand Khandeparkar. Let's Keep Chorao Clean and Green.

DONATION OF GOOD USED CLOTHES & CROCKERY .

President and Members of "Lions Club of Mapusa Elite" for the third time donated huge quantity of "Good used Clothes" & Crockery to Lions Club of Chodan for our "Good Used Clothes Bank" on Sunday 7th September 2025 in the presence of Zone Chairperson Lion Sachin Patil.

DISTRIBUTION OF COCONUT SAPLINGS.

Subsequent to Zone Chairperson Lion Sachin Patil's visit, twinning activity was held with "Lions Club of Mapusa Elite" by distributing 20 coconut saplings to Old age home & Senior Citizens of Chorao. The saplings were donated by Lion Anil Fernandes of LC Mapusa Elite.

ZONE CHAIRPERSONS MANDATORY VISIT TO THE CLUB.

ZONE CHAIRPERSON LION SACHIN PATIL had his mandatory visit to Lions Club of Chodan on 7th September 2025. He updated the members with the District and International programs for the lionistic year 2025-26. He emphasized on 1.5K membership program. On the occasion the Zone Chairperson presented the LCIF "GOLDEN CLUB" Banner Patch for participating in the 50 dollar contribution by each member to LCIF.
