Special Initiative: Weeks of service

As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Making an Impact, One Activity at a Time!

Attended ZAmeeting

On 13th Feb 2026, Third Zone Advisory Meeting was held in Ankola. It was hosted by Lions Club Ankola Karavali. It was attended by all clubs in the Zone. The Zone Chairman MJF Ln. Mangala Nayak conducted the meeting in a very effective way by following all the norms and covered all the agenda very systematically. Given the opportunity, I spoke about Mission 1.5 and urged all the clubs to add as many members as possible and to sponsor at least a drop a single member in the Lionsistic year. Secondly, I told all the clubs to clear their International and District dues at the earliest to avoid last moment rush at the time of District Convention. Thirdly, I reminded them to conduct all the District and International scheduled activities with all seriousness. I whole heartedly thanked all the members of the Zone for making my Regional Conference most memorable by their active participation. Totally more than 20 items and our Region made one PMJF and 6 Melvin Jones Fellowship were presented.

Visit at Dental checkup camp

On 12th February 2026, Lions Club organised a Dental Camp in association with District Dental Association. Dr. Nagaraj Bhoski was the main doctor who delivered a speech on dental care and its protection, and distributed brushes and toothpaste. A total of 140 students were benefited. I actively participated in the camp. It was a very useful medical service activity.

Visit to club During DG visit

On 10th February, I attended the Lions Club Sadashivagad on the eve of Governor’s official visit to the club. I participated in the function. I donated ₹5000 to Sadashivagad High School for educational activities. It was a well-organised programme attended by a good number of public and Lions.

REGION MEET OF REGION 12

On 9th February, I organised the Regional Meet of Region XII, District 317B at Honavar. The function was inaugurated by Past District Governor PMJF Lion Ravi Hegde. PDG of District 317C, PMJF Lion Suresh Prabhu delivered the keynote address.PDG Shrikanth more, was the chief Guest. Region Mentor PDG PMJF Dr Girish Kuchinad and PDG PMJF Lion Ganapati Nayak were the Guest of Honour in this meet. , various district officials and other dignitaries were also present. The event was attended by Lions members from the Region and District. More than 250 members participated in the function. As part of the programme, sports kits worth ₹8,000 was donated to Shri Chennakeshava High School, Karki. Three vendor umbrellas were distributed to fish-selling women vendors. Sixteen Presidents, sixteen Secretaries and 16 Treasurers of Region XII were honoured. Three Zone Chairpersons and six District Chairpersons were also honoured. Conference Committee Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer were felicitated. Fifteen new MJF’s were duly honoured by the guests. The special feature of the conference was that no registration charges were collected. The total amount spent for the function was ₹4.5 lakhs. No donations were collected from anybody. The Banner Presentation was very beautiful, and three prizes were awarded: Cash prizes were distributed accordingly • 1st Prize – ₹5,000 • 2nd Prize – ₹3,000 • 3rd Prize – ₹2,000
