As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

On 8th September 2nd District Governors Zone Advisory meeting of Zone 2 Region 4 headed by Zone Chairperson Ln.Sachin Patil was hosted by Lions Club of Bicholim at Bicholim. District Chairperson MJF Ln Vinod Gadgil attended the meeting.

DIABETIC AND GENERAL HEALTH CHECKUP CAMP
A DIABETIC AND GENERAL HEALTH CHECK UP CAMP FOR NWKRTC EMPLOYEES WAS CONDUCTED ON 23.02.2026 AT NWKRTC DEPOT.THE DEPOT MANAGER INAUGUARATED THE CAMP.150 EMPLOYEES OF THE DEPOT WERE CHECKED UP FOR BP AND SUGAR .SENIOR LION MJF DR,MURGOD ALONG WITH HIS CLINICAL TEAM CONDUCTED CARRIED OUT THE CHECK UP. THE BENEFICIERIES WERE ADVISED TO CONSULT THE SPECIALISTS WHEREVER NECESSARY.PRESIDENT,SECRETARY AND MANY MEMBERS OF THE LIONS CLUB WERE PRESENT.

EYE CHECKUP CAMP AT NWKRTC DEPOT
A FREE EYE CHECK UP AND FREE DISTRIBUTION OF SPECTACALS CAMP WAS CONDUCTED ON 22.02.2026 AT NWKRTC (STATE TRANSPORT) DEPOT FOR THE STATE TRANSPORT EMPLOYEES.130 EMPLOYEES IN THE DEPOT WERE CHECKED FOR VISION AND 30 ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS WERE PROVIDED FREE SPECTSCALS.THE DEPOT MANAGER AND THE EMPLOYEES OF THE DEPOT COOPERATED IN CONDUCTING THE CAMP.LIONS PRESIDENT MR.HANJI, MJF LION DR,MURGOD,AND MANY LIONS WERE PRESENT.

DGs VISIT TO 5 CLUBS OF REGION 5 ZONE 1 JOINTLY
The Lions Clubs of Assagao, Lions Club of Anjuna LIONS club of Aguada 2000 Lions Club of Arpora Nagoa Parra Had thier District Governors Visit to the Club yesterday 21st Feb 2026 at Hotel Adamo the Bellus at Calangute hosted by RC Lion Murtaza Matheranwala and coordinated by Lion Agnelo of L C Chodan The first ever joint visit was a major sucess and well attended by PSTs and members .PST & Sr Members of LC Calangute also attended and Motivated the Clubs . The meeting was adjourned for fellowship followed by Lunch. THE VISIT WAS HOSTED BY THE LC OF CALANGUTE AT ADEMO HOTEL, CALANGUTE. BESIDES THE PST OF THE CLUBS IT WAS GRACED BY THE PRESENCE OF THE DCS, PMJF DR. LION KIRTI NAIK (1ST LADY), THE DCT, PMJF RAHUL VERENKAR, MJF RAEIS AHMED AND OTHER CABINET OFFICERS, INCLUDING THE ZC ZONE 1, MJF LION SUDESH KOCHREKAR.

THE ANNUAL VISIT OF THE DG PMJF LION JAIAMOL NAIK, TO THE LC OF MAPUSA SUBURBAN WAS HELD ON THE 11TH FEBRUARY AT 8.00 PM. THE FUNCTION WAS HELD IN THE SALIGAO INSTITUTE HALL, SALIGAO. THE FUNTION WAS A WELL ORGANISED AND SIMPLE ONE WITH THE PRESENCE OF THE DCS, DCT AND OTHER CABINET OFFICIALS. I AS THE ZC ATTENDED THE SAME. IT WAS A MUST APPRECIATE VISIT OF THE DG.
