As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Talk on Adolescence Health and Menstrual Hygiene

Talk on Adolescence health and Menstrual hygiene was held by our club on 19 th November at Honda Higher secondary school, Honda. Talk was wonderfully delivered by resource person Ln Dr. Anu Budkule, Gynecologist. The talk reflected the awareness of transition to adulthood , hygiene to be observed during menstrual days and certain essential facts to be followed and adopted by them. It also led to interaction and clarification of doubts in relation to the topic. Around 5 Lion members attended the activity and 120 students and teachers attended the session.

Sports Meet & Cook Without Fire Competition Inaugurated at Dr. Bhaskar Swadi Lions PU College – Attended by ZC Lion Vinay Hegde

On 14/11/2025, District Governor MJF Lion Jaimol Naik and Multiple Council Chairperson MJF Lion Mohan Kumar inaugurated the Sports Meet and Cook Without Fire Competition organised for students of Dr. Bhaskar Swadi Lions PU College, Sirsi, an institution run by Sirsi Lions Education Society. The programme was elegantly organised by the Lions Club Sirsi. As Zone Chairperson, I had the privilege of attending the event. The District Governor and MCC symbolically inaugurated the programme by participating in chess and cricket activities, marking an energetic start to the event. Both dignitaries delivered inspiring and motivational speeches, encouraging students and participants to excel in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities, while nurturing discipline, sportsmanship, and creativity.

Felicitations to Lion CA Prakash Hegde – A Proud Moment Attended by ZC Lion Vinay Hegde

One of the proud members of Lions Club Sirsi, Lion CA Prakash Hegde, has been selected as the Accountant Member of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, Government of India. This prestigious appointment is a matter of great pride and honour for the entire Lions community, especially for Lions Club Sirsi. To celebrate this remarkable achievement, Lions Club Sirsi felicitated our distinguished member on 17/11/2025. After receiving the honour, Lion CA Prakash Hegde expressed his heartfelt gratitude and highlighted the importance of the Lions movement in fostering personal growth, leadership qualities, and personality development. As Zone Chairperson, I had the privilege of attending this memorable occasion and being part of this proud moment for our club.

Lions Club of Sankhali organised Vedic Maths (Part 1) detailed 3 days Course on Tue 11th, Thu 13th and Sat 15th November 2025 for the selected 34 students of standard Vth & VIth of Progress High School, Sankhali Goa. District chairperson of Vedic Mathematics MJF Ln. Sagar Sakordekar was resource person. Certificates were awarded to all the participants and prizes for best three students..
