As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Vanmahotsav
Lions Club of Ponda organised its Annual Vanmahotsav, A Tree Plnatation Drive, wherein we planted Almond Tree Saplings by the roadside in the Madkaim Industrial Estate, which will also serve as relief for commuters during the summer, with also serving as care for the environment, We also planted Mango saplings in big pots, which will be nurtured for 2 years and will the be distributed to local farmers. 12 members of Lions Club of Ponda were involved in the project, including the SVDG MJF Lion Sudesh Borkar

international day against drug abuse was conducted at calangute association hall calangute the dignitaries present were local mla michael lobo sp anti narcotics cell district governor pmjf jai amol naik almost 600 students from local schools took part in the same the activity was widely covered by all media channels of goa and local news papers
