As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Making an Impact, One Activity at a Time!
Permanent Project Bus Shelter at the Railway station was also cleaned by the members of the Lions Club of Old Goa.
As part of the cleaning drive, members of the LC Old Goa cleaned the Bus shelter, which had been left in a mess by commuters. LC Old Goa also carries out regular maintenance.

Permanent Project Maintained by LC Old Goa at the Karmali Railway Station
The garden at the Karmali Railways station, maintained by LC Old Goa, was also cleaned by the Lion members during the Vano Mahotsav Festival.

Celebrated Vano Mahotsav Festival at Vijayanagar Society- Old Goa
Vanomahotsav Celebration continued at the Vijayanagar society, Old Goa, where Saplings were distributed to the society, and a few were planted on the 13th July 2025.

Saplings distributed to the Locals of Karmali Village
As part of the Vanomahostav, President Lion Daniel Gonsalves distributed around 20 fruit-bearing and Medicinal Plants to the locals of the Karmali Village. The Locals and Panch members appreciated the activity.

Celebrated Vano Mahotsav Festival at Karmali Railway station
LC Old Goa celebrated its calendar activity Vanomahotsav on the 13th oJuly 2025 at the Karmali Railway Station. Around 100 Saplings were planted. Fruit Bearing plants, Medicinal plants and Ornamental plants were planted.Station Master along with Railway officials and staff were present during the function. President Ln Daniel Gonsalves, Secretary Ln P.Karpe, Treasurer Ln Dilip Borkar, IPP MJF Ln Deepak Karmalkar, Ambassador of Mission 1.5 MJF Ln Sunil Mevada, GMT member Ln Madhav Vernekar,Ln Prasad Chodankar were part for the activity.

BOD Installation, Charter Nite Celebration,
The 43rd BOD installation and 42 Charter Nite Anniversay was held on 12th July, 2025 @ Club Harmonia, Margao-Goa. MJF Ln. Nitin Maganlal (PDG) was the installation officer and Prof. (Dr) Manoj S Kamat was the Chief Guest for the installation ceremony. The Programme started in time and ended in time.

Distribution of raincoats to government Primary Schools.
A total of 101 raincoats were distributed to the students of: Government Primary school, Dando, Government Primary School, Orda and Government Primary School, Saipem, in Candolim.

Van Mahotsav Celebration
The Lions Club of Candolim partnered with the village Panchayat of Candolim and Celebrated Van Mahotsav on 2nd July 2025.28 Golden showers plants were grown along the stretch from Bosio Hospital up to Dr. Aldrin's Clinic in Candolim
