As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Visiting the club-Region Chairperson Mr.Rajesh Salehittal
On 28/09/2025 at 4.00pm,MJF.Ln.Rajesh Salehittal, the Region Chairperson visited the Lions Ankola Karavali.He asked them to organize a humanitarian program in accordance with the aspirations of Lions. Lions elders and all members were present in this program. Secretry Ln. K.M.Gowda read the report. President Ln. Ramesh parmar spoke appreciatively about the program. Ln.Mahantesh Revadi conducted the program neatly. MJF.LN. Sanjay Arundekar spoke about the program. Ln. Sadanand Shetty thanked everyone.

Pre Primary & Primary Student Eye Screening Camp @ Presentation Convent High School
A comprehensive vision screening camp was conducted for pre-primary and primary students of Presentation Convent, Margao, Goa. The initiative aimed to identify early signs of visual impairment and promote eye health among young learners. A total of 368 students underwent screening during the camp. Of these, 177 students were referred for further evaluation due to refractory vision defects, indicating the need for corrective measures such as spectacles or specialist consultation. The program was instrumental in raising awareness about pediatric eye care and ensuring timely intervention. It reflects the school’s commitment to holistic student well-being and was well-received by parents and staff alike.

Zone Chairperson Visit & Teachers Day Felicitationm 2025
The Lions Club of Margao hosted a meaningful event to welcome the Zone Chairperson and honor four retired teachers for their outstanding service to education at Senior Citizen Recreation Center of Lion Club of Margao @ Pada Margao. Held in Margao, the gathering reflected the club’s dedication to community recognition and service. The Zone Chairperson was warmly received by club members and presented with a bouquet and memento. In their address, they praised the club’s consistent efforts in health camps, youth outreach, and educational initiatives, encouraging members to continue their impactful work. A special segment of the program was dedicated to the felicitation of four retired teachers, each recognized for their decades of commitment to shaping young minds. The honorees were introduced with brief citations, followed by the presentation of shawls, floral tributes, and commemorative plaques. Their contributions were celebrated through heartfelt speeches, highlighting the lasting impact of their guidance. Light refreshments were served, allowing attendees to connect and reflect on the shared values of service, mentorship, and community upliftment. This dual celebration—honoring leadership and lifelong educators—reinforced the Lions Club’s motto “We Serve” and its role as a pillar of support in Margao. Community Service to Matruchaya Balika Vadhu Kendra @ Margao
The Lions Club of Margao organized a heartfelt donation drive to support the inmates of Balika Vadhu Kendra, Matruchaya, Margao. In keeping with the club’s commitment to community welfare and upliftment, essential items were thoughtfully collected and handed over to the center. The donation included a range of daily-use and educational supplies such as soaps, food items, books, stationery, and hygiene products, aimed at improving the living conditions and learning environment for the girls residing at the Kendra. Club members personally visited the center to interact with the inmates and staff, fostering a spirit of compassion and solidarity. This initiative not only addressed immediate material needs but also reinforced the Lions Club’s dedication to nurturing dignity, education, and well-being among underprivileged children. The staff at Matruchaya expressed deep gratitude for the timely support, acknowledging the club’s ongoing role in community service. Lions Club of Margao – BOD Meeting & Ladies Night Celebration (September 25) On September 25, the Lions Club of Margao held its monthly Board of Directors (BOD) meeting, focusing on upcoming service initiatives, financial updates, and planning for community outreach programs. Members actively participated in discussions, reaffirming their commitment to the club’s goals and collaborative spirit. Following the meeting, a vibrant Ladies Night celebration was organized to honor the contributions of Lion ladies and spouses. The evening featured lively entertainment, games, and a delicious dinner, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. Members and guests enjoyed the laughter, and shared moments that strengthened club bonds.
