As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Mandatory visit to Lions club of Ankola Karavali

On 28th September 2025 I visited Lions Club of Nikala Kevadi. 10 members were present. During the function, as a part of Teacher’s Day programme, I had a honour to honour the five retired teachers among them, some were award winner teachers. They take pride in Lions and promised that they would minimum 3 members in this Lionistic year. I narrated about the 8 pillars of activities to be also organised. All the members are active and doing many activities. 12 members were participated

Mandatory visit to Lions club of Siddapur

On 27th September, at 4 pm I visited the Lions Club of Siddapur MJF Ln Dr. Suresh.S from my club accompanied me. P.D.G Ln Ravi Hegde was present. I spoke about the membership growth and the president promised 5 members would be added. It is an active club and having good reputation. The Lions Club of Siddapur has donated a kit to 26 T.B. patients. They have been doing all the activities mentioned in Governors Programme. 15 members were participated

Visit to Twinning activity of Lions Club Of assagao and Lions Club of mAPUSA

he Lions Club of Mapuca, in collaboration with the Lions Club of Assagao, proudly supported the Swachhata Pakhwada initiative, a government-led cleanliness campaign, at Assagao Union High School, Assagao, Mapuca. The program was designed to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental awareness among students and the local community through a series of impactful activities. Objectives Foster a culture of cleanliness and hygiene in the school and surrounding areas. Enhance environmental consciousness among students and community members. Encourage active participation in the Swachhata Pakhwada initiative to build a cleaner and healthier environment. Activities Conducted The Swachhata Pakhwada initiative included a range of activities, such as: Cleanliness Drives: Students, volunteers, and club members participated in cleaning the school campus and nearby community areas. Awareness Programs: Educational workshops and seminars were conducted to highlight the importance of hygiene, waste segregation, and environmental sustainability. Competitions: Students engaged in activities like poster-making, essay writing, and cleanliness-themed projects to promote creative involvement. Community Engagement: Collaborative efforts with local residents to encourage sustainable cleanliness practices and community participation. Prize Distribution Function To mark the successful completion of the Swachhata Pakhwada activities, a Prize Distribution Function was held on September 30, 2025, at 11:30 AM in the Centenary Hall, Assagao Union High School. The event celebrated the dedication and contributions of participants, including students and volunteers, who played a pivotal role in the initiative’s success. Event Highlights Chief Guest: Lion Anthony Fernandes, President of Lions Club of Assagao Guest of Honor: Lion Murtaza Matheranvala, Region Chairperson Awards: Winners were felicitated with medals, certificates, and trophies for their outstanding contributions to the Swachhata Pakhwada initiative. Purpose: The ceremony aimed to recognize participants’ efforts, inspire continued commitment to cleanliness, and strengthen community involvement in environmental initiatives. Commitment of Lions Clubs The Lions Club of Mapuca and the Lions Club of Assagao remain dedicated to serving the community and promoting sustainable practices. Through initiatives like Swachhata Pakhwada, the clubs strive to create a lasting impact by fostering a cleaner, healthier, and more environmentally responsible society. Conclusion The Swachhata Pakhwada initiative at Assagao Union High School, supported by the Lions Club of Mapuca and Lions Club of Assagao, was a remarkable success. The enthusiastic participation of students, volunteers, and community members underscored the power of collective action in advancing cleanliness and environmental awareness. The Prize Distribution Function on September 30, 2025, served as a meaningful celebration of these efforts, honoring participants and reinforcing the clubs’ commitment to community welfare.
