As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

LIfe Saver Project.. Motor cycle ambulance
L C Aldona Proudly started a permanent life saver project with introduction of Motor Cycle Ambulance fitted with AED Device for community with the project wholly sponsored by President PMJF Lion Caji Mendonca and family to the tune of about 5 lacs. the Motor Cycle Ambulance will be stationed at central place at Aldona market centre along with designated driver cum first Aid Responder. in collboration wtih DHS.

ZONE SOCIAL OF ZONE 1 OF REGION 12 BY ZC MJF LION VINAY G HEGDE
The Zone Social of Zone–1, Region–12 was successfully organised by MJF Lion Vinay Hegde, Zone Chairperson, at the Lions School Auditorium, Sirsi. The programme was hosted by Lions Club of Sirsi and witnessed enthusiastic participation from Lions Club of Siddapur, Lions Club of Banavasi, Lions Club of Mundgod, Leo Club of Sirsi, and Leo Club of Shriniketan. The event brought together around 150 Lions and Leos members and their family members, creating an atmosphere of friendship, fellowship, and unity. The colourful evening was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp by PDG PMJF Lion Ravi Hegde Huivinamane, Region Chairperson Lion Rajesh Sale Hittal, and senior Lion S. J. Kairana. Addressing the gathering, PDG Lion Ravi Hegde highlighted the importance of Zone Socials in strengthening relationships among members, fostering teamwork, and enhancing the spirit of Lionism. The dignitaries highly appreciated the efforts of Zone Chairperson MJF Lion Vinay Hegde for his excellent leadership, outstanding service activities, and meticulous arrangements for the programme. Welcoming the gathering, Zone Chairperson MJF Lion Vinay Hegde briefly narrated the various service projects and humanitarian activities undertaken by the clubs in Zone–1 during the Lionistic year and thanked all clubs for their wholehearted support and cooperation. The highlight of the evening was the spectacular cultural programme presented by members of various Lions and Leo Clubs. The audience was enthralled by a variety of performances, including vibrant dances, melodious songs, entertaining dramas, and other creative presentations. The members of the host club, Lions Club of Sirsi, put up several extraordinary performances which received thunderous applause from the audience. The programme concluded with a grand fellowship dinner, providing members and their families an opportunity to interact, strengthen friendships, and celebrate the true spirit of Lionism. The Zone Social ended on a joyous note, leaving behind cherished memories of togetherness, friendship, family bonding, and service.

ATTENDED LIONS CLUB OF SIRSI SIGNATURE ACTIVITY FREE DIABETIC CHECK UP CAMP
As part of its signature service activity, Lions Club of Sirsi organizes a Free Diabetes Check-up Camp on the last Sunday of every month at different locations across Sirsi town with the objective of creating awareness about diabetes and promoting preventive healthcare among the public. Accordingly, the Free Diabetes Check-up Camp for the month of May was conducted on 31st May 2026 at Shrinivas Home Appliances, Banavasi Road, Sirsi. The camp witnessed an encouraging response from the public, with 53 individuals availing themselves of the free diabetes screening facility. Following the screening, a medical practitioner analyzed the test reports and provided valuable guidance and health-related advice to the participants regarding diabetes management, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures. The programme was graced by the presence of the Zone Chairperson (ZC), who appreciated the Club’s sustained efforts in conducting regular health service activities for the benefit of the community. The camp once again reflected the Lions motto, “We Serve,” by promoting health awareness and early detection of diabetes among the citizens of Sirsi.

DONATION OF WATER PURIFIER TO EDUCATIONAL INSTITUION BY LIONS CLUB OF SIRSI
Lions Club Sirsi, in its ongoing mission of community service, donated a Water Purifier to Progressive Education Society, Sirsi, a renowned educational institution nurturing thousands of young minds. The project was inaugurated in the gracious presence of the Zone Chairperson (ZC), who commended the Club for undertaking a meaningful initiative aimed at ensuring access to safe and pure drinking water for students and staff. The gesture stands as another shining example of Lions Club Sirsi’s commitment to education, health, and humanitarian service.

FREE CATARACT OPERATION
A free eye check-up camp was organized on 16 May 2026 at Hirabai Zantye Mini Hall, Bicholim, where more than 50 people were examined. As part of the camp’s support to needy patients, 42 people were given free spectacles, and 3 Cataract operations were completed free of cost on 24 May 2026 . This was a thoughtful and kind gesture by Dr. Rohit Shirodkar and the organizing team, helping many people receive timely eye care and treatment.
