As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

ANNUAL HEALTH CHECK UP CAMP TO SVEM SCHOOL PRIMARY STUDENTS
Lions Club of Koppal in association with Shree Gavisiddeshwara Medical College conducted a General health assessment camp for pre primary and primary students of Lions Swami Vivekananda English Medium School Koppal. Paediatricians and PG students were present in the camp and screened children’s for general health issues. Lion’s members and parents of the students were also present in the camp. Total 256 students were screened in the camp.

ATTENDED LIONS CLUB OF SIRSI. Free Auto Rickshaw Service for Pilgrims – Sirsi Marikamba Jatra
The Lions Club of Sirsi, in association with the Daivajna Brahmana Samaja, arranged a Free Auto Rickshaw Service for physically disabled persons, elderly devotees, and pregnant women to facilitate Sirsi Marikamba Darshan during the Jatra days. The Sirsi Marikamba Jatra, held once every two years, attracts lakhs of pilgrims from different places for the darshan of Goddess Marikamba. Due to the heavy rush and long walking distance, it is often very difficult for physically disabled persons, elderly devotees, and pregnant women to reach the temple. To address this difficulty, the Lions Club of Sirsi has been providing free auto rickshaw service for the past 8 years, helping such devotees travel from the crowded areas to the Gaddige (Goddess Temple) comfortably and safely. This thoughtful service has been widely appreciated in the media and newspapers, highlighting the club’s commitment to compassionate community service during the Jatra. This noble initiative was sponsored by Lion Pradeep Ellankar of Pradeep Jewellery, District Chairperson (DC) for Jatra and Festivals. I had the privilege of being a part of this noble service activity, which truly reflects the Lions’ spirit of serving humanity.
