As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Mission Vision Candolim - Free Cataract Eye Surgeries for Villagers.
Mission Vision Candolim - The Lions Club of Candolim partnered with the Village Panchayat of Candolim and MLA of Calangute Constituency Mr. Michael Lobo and ASG Hospitals to carry out 10 free cataract operations for the villagers of Candolim. Many elderly and economically disadvantaged villagers delay cataract treatment due to financial difficulties and lack of awareness. To address this need, the Lions Club of Candolim organised a free cataract surgery initiative for deserving villagers. Project Objective: The main objective of the project was to provide free cataract surgeries to villagers who required medical intervention but were unable to afford the treatment. The initiative aimed to restore vision, improve quality of life, and help beneficiaries regain independence in their daily activities. A total of 10 villagers benefited from free cataract eye surgeries. Impact of the Project: The project helped restore vision for elderly villagers and improved their ability to perform routine activities independently. The beneficiaries experienced improved confidence, mobility, and overall quality of life.
