As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Club Meeting was held on 15th May 2026 at The Flora Grand at 7.30 pm followed by fellowship & dinner. The meeting was attended by 22 members, 2 LEOs and 1 cub.

Today's Eye checkup camp at our lions medical center Dr Ketaki Phadke and Vadiraj Katti from MMJE hospital examined 25 beneficiaries out of which 14 beneficiaries were reffered for cataract operations. RBS and BP checkup was done by Lion Niloba Malawade Sir to 14 beneficiaries. 👍👍WE SERVE. 🙏🙏🙏

2ND STATE LEVEL CHESS TOURNAMENT FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED FINALS & CLOSING CEREMONY
2ND STATEL LEVEL CHESS Tournament of Visually Impaired people FINAL ROUND WAS HELD ON 7TH JUNE,2026. IT WAS HELD IN THE CONFERANCE HALL OF HOTEL ADOMO THE BELLUS. CHIEF GUEST WAS DISTRICT 317B LCIF COORDINATOR PMJF LION RAIES AHMEN HAKIM. IT WAS COMPASRED MY MJF LION GOCULDAS NAGVENKAR. OTHERS PRESENT WERE MJF LION VISVASRAO NAGVENKAR, MJR LION MURTHZA MATHRANWALA, LION VIDHYA NAGVENKAR, MJF LION GOCULDAS NAGVENKAR MR. SANJAY KAVLEKAR FORM SAH AND OTHER MEMBERS OF BLIND CRICKET ASSOCIATION. IT WAS WELL ORGAIZED AND A GREAT FUNCTION ATTENDED BY MANY SPECTATORS.

2ND STATE LEVEL CHESS TOURNAMENT FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED
Lions club of Mapuca, in collaboration with SAG, Blind Cricket Association, Hotel Adamo the Bellus organized a " SECOND STATE LEVEL CHESS TOUNEMENT FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED" ON 6th and 7th June 2026, at Hotel Adamo the Bellus. Calangute. there were SIXTEEN Participants in all. The tournament was INITIATED BY MJF LION VISVASRAO NAGENCKAR, DC FOR BLIND OF DISTRICT 317B and the secretary of Cricket Blind association AND MJF LION GOCULDAS NAGVENKAR, DC FOR SPORTS PROMATION DISTRICT 317B. Stay and Food was Sponsored at hotel Adamo the Bellus bu MJF Lion Murtaza Mathranwala, who is also the Region chairperson of REGION V (FIVE) OF DISTRICT 317B.PMJF SAISH LAWANDE , PDG SWAS THE CHIEF GUEST. SAG Sr. coach for Cjess Mr. Sanjay Kavlekar ( ARBRITATOR) AND Mr. Tanisque Kavlekar (Assi, Arbritator) were also present. Inauguration Function was held on 6th June, 2026.
