- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Annadasoha program –Govt Hosp. Jkd
Project Name: Lions Community Hunger Relief – "Annadasoha" Location: Government Hospital, Jamkhandi Date: February 26, 2026 In Commemoration of: Freedom Fighter Veer Savarkar 1. Executive Summary As part of its global mission to Relieve Hunger, the Lions Club of Jamkhandi organized a large-scale food distribution program (Annadasoha) at the Government Hospital. This initiative was designed to provide nutritious, home-cooked meals to patients and their attendants who often face difficulties accessing quality food during hospital stays. Roti Bank Varanasi Roti Bank Varanasi 2. Program Objectives Combat Food Insecurity: To ensure that no patient or caregiver at the facility goes without a healthy meal. Cultural Tradition: To uphold the sacred Karnataka tradition of Annadasoha—the selfless act of sharing food as a form of divine service. Compassionate Care: To alleviate the financial and physical burden on families traveling from rural areas for medical treatment. Lions Clubs International Lions Clubs International 3. Implementation & Impact The distribution took place immediately following a mental health awareness session. Beneficiaries: Freshly prepared meals were served to the indoor patients and their family members waiting in the hospital wards. Community Spirit: The program was executed with the "We Serve" spirit, where club members personally participated in the serving process to ensure dignity and care for every recipient. 4. Special Program on Mental Health & Community Service Organized by: Lions Club of Jamkhandi (Dist. 317-B, Region-11, Zone-3) Occasion: Death Anniversary of Freedom Fighter Veer Savarkar Date: February 26, 2026 Venue: Government Hospital, Jamkhandi Event Overview The Lions Club of Jamkhandi successfully organized a meaningful program today to commemorate the death anniversary of the legendary freedom fighter Veer Savarkar. The event focused on promoting both mental health awareness and compassionate community service. Key Highlights Expert Talk on Mental Health: The session featured a special guest lecture titled "Mental Health & Well-Being" delivered by Mahalaxmi Kolkar (Psychiatrist Social Worker, Taluka Mental Health Programme, Jamkhandi). The talk highlighted the vital importance of emotional balance and mental wellness in today’s world. Annadasoha (Food Distribution): Demonstrating their commitment to service, the club members organized a regular food distribution drive for the patients at the Government Hospital following the session. Theme: The initiative was centered around the values of health, care, and compassion. General Body Meeting for the month of Feb-26(2nd)
The second general meeting of the month of February has been organized on Wednesday, 25-02-2026 at 7-28 pm at SRA Club Jamkhandi. The topics to be discussed in the meeting are as follows. 1) Regarding the issuance of a written letter requesting the submission of the accounts for the years 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25. 2) As discussed in GBM on 11.02.2026 - Regarding the organization of BOD in the order of (1- 62) members of the club. 3) Regarding the organization of the February month's Annadasoha on Thursday, 26.02.2026 (as part of Swatantra Veer Savarkar Punya Day). 4) On 26.02.2026 at 8.00 am Dr.||Krishna Bannad a special lecture program on Mental Health and Well Being by and social activist Mahalakshmi.

Free Eye Testing Camp held at S.T.C Arts & Commerce College, Banahatti
🌟 Event Success: Free Eye Testing Camp for College Staff 🌟 We are proud to announce the successful completion of the Free Eye Testing Camp held at S.T.C Arts & Commerce College, Banahatti on February 23, 2026. This noble initiative was a collaborative effort between Lions Club Jamkhandi (Dist 317 B) and the renowned M. M. Joshi Eye Institute, Jamkhandi, aimed at ensuring the well-being and vision health of our dedicated college staff. Highlights of the Day: Comprehensive Screenings: Expert ophthalmologists and optometrists from M. M. Joshi Eye Institute conducted thorough eye examinations, including vision tests and screenings for common conditions. Strong Participation: A large number of college staff members benefited from the professional consultations provided during the camp. Health Awareness: Attendees received valuable guidance on maintaining good eye hygiene and the importance of regular check-ups. +4 Heartfelt Gratitude: We extend our sincere thanks to Principal Dr. G. R. Junayakar for his immense support and to the leadership of Lions Club Jamkhandi—Ln. Dr. M. P. Tanappagol (President), Ln. Er. Anand Chougule (Secretary), and Ln. Clubs Annadasoh (32nd Hunger Relief Activity) was carried out near District Hospital, Belgaum. More than 200 people were provided with steaming hot rice pulao. It was sponsored by Lions Club of Belgaum.
