Special Initiative: Weeks of service

As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Attend 1st Governor Zone Advisory Meeting at Margao

Lions Club of Canacona Zone Advisory Meeting On 21st September 2025. President, Secretary, Treasurer, First Vice President, Leadership Chairperson along with Leo President and Leo Secretary attended District Governor's First Zone Advisory Meeting Chaired by Zone Chairperson Lion Gourish Vernekar at Fab's Music and Sports Cafe - Margao, hosted by Lions Club of Salcete on Sunday, 21st September at 7.30 pm. Secretary Lion Ulhas Phal Desai presented the Activity Report from July to till date of September. After the main business, in the Open Forum there was a lecture by RDC IT Lion Sunil Kavalekar arranged on the Topic "How to Report very effectively of the activities done by the Club on Inter National and District Lions Portal" His lecture was very resourceful and informative. Later there was a lecture by PDG PMJF Lion Earle Britto as Guest Speaker, wherein he stressed to maintain the timing very strictly. He also told that his services are always there and just on a call he would be there to solve any problem of any Club. Zone Advisory Meeting went on from 8.00 pm to 10.30 pm. almost for two and half hours, and was attended by total 7 members from Lions Club of Canacona. Meeting was very fruitful.

Twinning program of relieving the hunger

Attended Monthly activity by our Region , where the birthdays of SIX lions falling in the month of August and September was celebrated amongst most under privileged inmates of “ MAA ASRO” at Khandepar. Participated in the twinning activity representing Lions club of Alem De Margao as one of the birthday celebrity Birthday celebrity lions donated MUSIC SYSTEM and distributed essentials, as per their need , identified prior to our visit. Our region also assured them a full fledged structure in the precinct of the Asro . It could cost @ 3/4 lakhs and spontaneous donations declared there itself by some of our members amounted to ₹ 50k+

It is a great honor and privilege to be the master of Ceremony for the District Teacher's Felicitation Programme - 2025 held on 22nd September, 2025 at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao from 4.00 pm onwards. Total 50 teachers nominated by all the clubs in Goa and part of Karnataka from the District were felicitated

Participated in District Teachers day celebration

It is a great honor and privilege for our club to nominate one teacher for the District Teachers day celebration held on 22nd September 2025 at Ravindra Bhavan Margao from 4.00 pm onwards. Total 50 teachers were felicitated on this occasion. Our teacher Saroja Naik also responded to the felicitation in Marathi
