As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Lions Global Hunger Week 04th day.
Lions Global Hunger week on 04th day on 06 January 2026, Lions Club of Canacona and Leo Club of Canacona celebrated hunger Eradication week with a delicious cooked meal for 80 students and 15 staff members at Mataji Mandir Vidhyarthi Vastigraha at Tembewada Canacona Goa on 06th January 2026. All the BOD 15 members and Leo 10 members involved to serve the food to the students and Staff members, spending Rs. 15000/- and 2 hrs. to success the programme.

Attended farmers felicitation program at Mahalsa Narayani school at Verna. two farmers were felicitated at the function Mr. Judas Quadros and Mr. Roy Barreto were felicitated at the hands of Mr. Rahul Verenkar and othe dignitories present.

"Janumad jodi " event
Here's your response written neatly: We hosted a fantastic "Janumada Jodi" event, a big celebration for couples! 😊 Over 200 couples, along with their kids, joined in for a day of fun games - physical and memory challenges. The event was anchored by the "Comedy Khiladi" famous actor Master Anand and Naina Madam, who kept everyone entertained. Many companies sponsored awesome prizes: - 1st Prize: EVS Scooter - 2nd Prize: Double Door Fridge (Higher Company) - 3rd Prize: Water Filter Our district governor, Lion PMJF Jaimol Naik Sir, and district secretary, Lion Dr. Kirti Madam, graced the occasion. Around 1500 members, including Lions Club members from Mahalingpur Green Basin and their families, participated. Delicious food was served to all!

Attended lions international district 317 B Inaugural of ' Global hunger week - Be the roar against hunger was held at shree Mahalasa Narayani High School Verna with lighting of lamp. Chief guest was MJF lion Rahul Verenkar District Cabinet treasurer. RC Lion Dharmu Raut Dessai, DC Lion Adrian Torres were present.

Pulse Polio Abhiyan
The Pulse Polio Abhiyan program was successfully conducted at Shri Renuka Temple, Haveri, for children below 6 years of age. During the camp, pulse polio drops were administered to 140 children to protect them from polio. The program aimed to create awareness among parents about the importance of polio immunization. The initiative contributed to strengthening public health and supporting a polio-free India.
