Special Initiative: Weeks of service

As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Service Focus Weeks

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

"Blindness cannot dim the light of knowledge." Born completely blind, Ms. Rani has never let her disability define her limits. Lions Club of Banavasi proudly honours Ms. Rani T. R., a dedicated teacher at Model Higher Primary School, Banavasi (with Shawl Garland, Fruits and Memento). With perseverance and passion, she pursued higher education M.A., B.Eḑ. and has been recognized with awards in Kannada literature. Through her teaching, she is not only imparting knowledge but also illuminating the lives of her students.
