As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Republic day celebration along side region activity of bicycle distribution
On 26th January, the Lions Club of Margao saheli participated in a regional service activity of bicycle distribution conducted at Shishu Vikas High School, Ravanfond, alongside the Republic Day celebration. The initiative aimed to support students in need by providing bicycles to help them with easier transportation and continued education. As part of this activity, the Lions Club of Margao Saheli identified and selected two deserving students, who were presented with bicycles during the program. The event was carried out with enthusiasm and a strong spirit of service, reflecting the club’s commitment to community welfare and student empowerment.

Food Distribution- Hunger week 2
The Lions Club of Margao Saheli observed Hunger Service Week by conducting a grocery distribution drive on 11th January 2026 at Katta, Fatorpa, a well-deserving area, where essential items including rice, dal, salt, and wheat flour were distributed to needy families, with active participation from club members, reflecting the club’s commitment to service and community welfare.

On the occasion of Hunger Week 2026, the Lions Club of Margao Saheli reached out to the underprivileged by distributing essential grocery items. The initiative was further supported by the generous contributions of MJF Lion Rama Mehta, who sponsored homemade khichdi, and Lion Varsha Naik, who sponsored sweets, bringing warmth and nourishment to those in need.

ON JANUARY 27 MORNING WE PLANNED A CLUB TWINNING PROGRAM WITH JAMAKANDI AND ILKAL LIONS CLUB. IN THIS MEETING WE DISCUSSED THE UPCOMING PROJECT AND THE LOW-BUDGET PROGRAM, WHICH IS VERY EFFECTIVE FOR SOCIETY.
