Special Initiative: Weeks of service

As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Service Focus Weeks

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Relieving Hunger Activity Date: 28 th July 2025 Organized by: Lions Club of Hubli Pearls Venue: Mahaveer Limb Centre Hubli As part of our ongoing humanitarian initiatives, Lions Club of Hubli Pearls conducted a Relieving Hunger Activity on 28 th July 2025 by arranging and distributing meals to the beneficeraies.

Vedic Maths (Part 1) Workshop for Std. V & VI students of Shiksha Sadan, Priol

Lions Club of Ponda City conducted 3 days detailed Vedic Maths (Part 1) Workshop for Std. V & VI students of Shiksha Sadan, Priol on 1st, 2nd and 3rd July in association with Resource Person, PMJF Lion Sagar Sakordekar, District Chairman - Vedic Maths, District 317B, Lions International 30 Students from Standard 5th and 6th attended the workshop. Mrs. Anagha Kulkarni, Headmistress, CES's Shiksha Sadan High School, welcomed the Gathering and expressed gratitude for organising the Workshop. Lion Archana Tendulkar, President, Lions Club of Ponda City, also addressed the Gathering and assured the School administration of future support for such Workshop as per their needs. Certificates were distributed to the participants at the hands of all the Lions Members Present for the Function. Resource Person, PMJF Lion Sagar Sakordekar, addressed the gathering and also shared his experience of conducting the Workshop. 5 Students were awarded Trophies for excellent performance during the workshop.
