As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Financial Assistance for Board Examination Fees of 10 Students of Dada Vaidya High School, Curti, Ponda
President of Lions Club of Ponda City, Lion Archana Tendulkar handed over a cheque of Rs 12,000/- towards Board Examination fees of 10 Students of Dada Vaidya High School to the Chairman of AVPM, Shri Sandeep Khadeparkar. The contribution was raised by Club Members of Lions Club of Ponda City. The programme was attended by 16 Club Members

Zone Chairperson Visit
Zone Chairperson, Lion Melba Monteiro visited Lion Club of Ponda on 13-08-2025 at Club House at 8 PM. Lion Archan Tendulkar, president, welcomed the ZC. Lion Narasinha Kamat Dhakankar presented a report of the activities held till date. Lion Shailendra Naik Introduced the ZC Lion Melba Monteiro. ZC Melba Monteiro provided guidance on the rules of reporting of activities and discussed future course of actions. The meeting was attended by 16 Club Members

Lions Club of Ponda City Organised Annadan at Govt Primary school, Khadpabandh, Ponda, sponsored by Lion Lady Bindiya Kamat Dhakankar on Monday 11th August 2025 at 10.30 am* Nutritious Food was provided to 25 Children. The Programme was attended by 6 Members

Celebration of women's equality day
Today (30.08.2025) Lions Club of jamkhandi, As part of the celebration of Women's Equality Day (26.08.2025), in collaboration with Government Degree College, Hunnur at 10:00 a.m. arranged a lecture given by Smt. Bhimbai Sangappa Malshetty (Chethan Itti), Around 150 students and 30 lecturers attended the program.

Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration with Specially Able Children
We attended Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations at New Dawn Asha Deep School for Specially Abled Children, spent time with the specially abled children and got an opportunity to learn a lot from them.

Donation of a Floral Extract VT Booth
A Floral Extract VT Booth was donated to New Dawn Asha Deep School courtesy our member MJF Ajoy Raj. This booth will help the specially abled students of the school to add another feather in their cap already filled with so many amazing skills. They will make natural colours from flower petals to be used for rangoli and other purposes. THIS WILL ADD TO THE CONFIDENCE OF THESE SPECIALLY ABLED CHILDREN TO STAND ON THEIR FEET ONCE THEY GO OUT OF THIS SCHOOL.

Donation of Children's Play Station at Urban Health Centre
A Children's Play Station was donated to the Urban Health Centre, Vasco to keep the children who are brought for inoculation engaged and entertained to help maintain their stress level as well as that of their parent's & the staff of UHC low. This is an innovative idea that was well appreciated by the doctors and nurses of UHC.

Lunch & Dinner at old Age Home
We served lunch & dinner to the 80 inmates of the Old Age Home at Bogmallo on 26th August. We also spent quality time with some of the active inmates.
