As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Making an Impact, One Activity at a Time!
Help to Flood victims of Sharavati river in Honavar Taluka
Due to the combined effect of heavy rain and release of water from Linganamakki Dam, there is a heavy flood in Sharavati river. The people residing on both sides of river bank are very much affected by this flood. Water is rushing in the residential area and also their houses. 15 Flood Care Centres have been opened in surrounding Government primary and secondary schools. On 29-08-2025 from 9 am to 4 pm we, PST, RC, 2 DCs and members all together 12 members of our Club along with local Gramapanchayat President & members visited 3 Flood Care Centres at Saralagi, Mavinahole & Allanki rural villages. 60 Grocery Kits each worth Rs 1000/- have been distributed and 140 flood victims of 60 families have been benefited. Total expenses: Rs 60,000/-.

Official Visit of the ZC to the club
ZC MJF Lion Shaila Kargudri officially visited our club and given advice on maintaining the club activities. Paper bag making workshop was conducted for the members of the club as well as non lions on the occasion.

Independence Day Celebration
Independence day was celebrated with the school children of Mugad and given them the awareness about the importance of using paper bags instead of plastic bags. Health awareness was also given to them. Pens and sweets were distributed to them on the occasion.

DIABETES HEALT SCREENING CAMP
The Lions club of Koppal in association with BSNL Koppal conducted a Diabetes and general health screening camp in BSNL regional premises for BSNL employees and their families. Dr. Manu D, Dr. Gavisiddesh V Ronad and other technical staff of Lions Day care center were present. Total 92 patients were screened for diabetes and other health conditions. Free ECG was also provided in the camp, total 53 members underwent ECG in the camp. Lion’s members were present in the camp.

Vana Mahotsav at Ishwar Temple
In order to keep the park clean and shady in Ishwar Temple Premises 25 different saplings were planted by Lions Club of Dharwad with the support of Mahila Mandal women group to observe Vana Mahotsav.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION IN SVEM CBSE SCHOOL KOPPAL
The Lions SVEM CBSE School Koppal celebrated Independence day at new school premises by hoisting national flag, distributed prizes to winners in Independence day sports events and other cultural activities were performed by students. Lion’s members, school employees, parents and other guests were present in the event. Total 275 members participated in the event.
