As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

We have Sent 86 Patients to Shankar Eye Hspital, Shivamogga on 24th August 2025. After there Eye Operations They came back to Haveri on 26th August 2025.

We conducted free Eye Camp at Hukkerimath Haveri. Total 216 Patients Eye Checked and 86 patients are selected for operations Shankar Eye Hospital, Shivamogga for Treatment.

Channu Hosmani (President, Green Karnataka Association), organized a plantation drive at Nrupatunga Betta. We planted around 20 saplings as part of the 100 saplings planned for this location. The remaining saplings will be planted in the coming days. This entire initiative was taken up and generously sponsored by Ln. Channu Hosmani. We extend our sincere thanks to him for his contribution.

The Weekly Annadasoh (9th Hunger Relief Activity) was carried out near District Hospital, Belgaum. More than 200 people were provided with steaming hot rice pulao. The activity was sponsored by Lion Vishwanath Hiremath family.

DIABETES AWARENESS CAMPAIGN. Organised diabetes awareness campaign of Region II, RUN FOR YOU HEALTH - Walk, Jog or Run to prevent diabetes. Initiated by Region II chairman Lion Dharmu Raut Dessai. Around 120 people participated in the run including lions of the region II and general public. The Run flagged off by the host club president lion Shakuntala Raut Dessai from Chandreshwar temple mahadwar at Paroda to the Chandreshwar temple on the Parvat and back. Zone chairman Lion Gaurish vernekar, lion Jack Gonsalves DC ,Lion Balkrishna Parabhu Dessai DC, Lion Sanjay Gauns Dessai DC, Lion Shrinath Kamat Treasurer of host club and many lion members from the clubs in region II, were present. The run for health was lead by international marathon Comrade runner PMJF Lion Dr. Venkatesh Ganesh Prabhu Dessai. People along the rout cheered the marathon runners.Traffic police and ambulance support was provided for the run.Sumptuous breakfast was provided to the all after the run.
