As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Service Focus Weeks

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Description Gokarna Lines 317b Lion MJF Rajesh, who is the person here, visited the school backyard and Anil Shet, who is the zone sharer person, and reviewed the progress of the club. He praised the activities carried out by the Lines Club and gave guidance to serve even more.

Beach cleaning

Description On 25/09/2025, a cleaning program was conducted at the main beach of Gokarna in collaboration with Gram Panchayat Gokarna. The Chief Executive Officer of Oota Taluk Panchayat participated in this program. The office bearers and members of the Lens Club, social activist Mahesh Shetty and PDO, Gram Panchayat President and sanitation staff and villagers participated. Water and light refreshments were provided to the participants in this program.

Mental health

Description On 9-9-2025, Dr. Priya Nayak and Dr. Mamata Nayak created awareness about mental health. These renowned doctors explained in detail that mental health controls many diseases and how yoga, light exercise and diet are helpful in maintaining mental health. Lions members, Gram Panchayat President Sakri and many dignitaries were present in this program.

Crime prevention

On 10/09/2025 at 3 pm, the police personnel of the equipment were made aware of the crimes and their punishment and methods of prevention. It was a necessary matter in today's current situation and was appreciated by the public. Especially, today's cybercrime was explained in detail. Information was given about the punishment for sometimes unintentional mistakes and the ways of getting cheated.

Childhood cancer

Description On 10-09-2025 at 3:30 pm, awareness was created about addiction and cancer, especially childhood cancer. Lion Dr. Jagadish Nayak HOD Government Hospital Ankola gave information. Lions members and Panchayat President Sannu Gowda Rajesh Nayak participated in this program. More than 70 people participated in this program, and special information was given especially to mothers.

Description Information on mental health was provided on 11/09/2025. 128 people took advantage of this program. Professor Mauneshwar Nayak created awareness about the mind and health. Lines office bearers and citizens of the village participated in the program. Chandrashekhar Ramnath and Govinda Nayak were the guests.
