Special Initiative: Weeks of service

As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Service Focus Weeks

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Making an Impact, One Activity at a Time!

Visit to Leo /Lions Sahyadri

, in my capacity as Region Chairman of Region 12, attended a meeting of Leo Schayadie on 13-11-25 at 4 pm. I could share some of the administrative and service activity matters with the members and suggested them to conduct many service activities in the true spirit of Lionism. It was attended by a Club Officer and the members of Lions Club Sirsi. It was very meaningful and successful too.

Childhood Cancer awareness programme

On 08-11-2025 at 3 pm, Lions Club Honnavar conducted an awareness programme on Childhood Cancer at Shri Chennakeshava High School, Karki. The resource person was Dr. Pramod Phayade, Paediatrician. It was attended by 240 students, 15 Lions, and 10 teachers along with members of school management. I was present in the meeting as the Region Chairman of Region 12 and gave some information about Lions Club International, its objectives, and services. It was a very good programme.

Attended The Dialysis Machine distribution programme

On 13-11-2025, I visited Lions Club of Sirsi on the eve of the distribution of dialysis machine donated by Dr. Venkatesh Swadi Charitable Trust headed by Dr. Venkatesh to T.S.S. Hospital, Sirsi. It was really a very good humanitarian health service to the general public of that area. It was attended by a large number of Lions and general public. I was invited as one of the guests. I was truly impressed by the event.

Joy of Giving

Joy of giving Initiative of The Lions Club of Canacona along with Leo Club of Canacona on 18th Nov. 2025 at Shri Mataji Mandir Vidhyarthi Vasatigruha, at tembewada Canacona Goa, provide Mid - Day meals to the hostel students and staff members. Total 75 students and 25 staff members have been benefited. 15 Lions members and 10 Leo Members spend 3 hrs. and provide food to the Students and Staff members. The Club spend Rs. 20,000/- to success this programme.

Tea and food served during First Responder Programme

During the First Responder Programme held for students of St. Theresa's Higher Secondary School 140 students, faculty members and volunteers were served morning tea, lunch and evening tea.

2nd Batch of First Responder Training workshop for Students of St. Theresa's Higher Secondary School.

The Lions Club of Candolim in association with the Village Panchayat Candolim and EMRI Green Health Services organized a First Responders Training Programme for the second batch of Std XI Commerce and XI CMR students of St. Theresa's Higher Secondary School, Candolim. The programme was conducted from 9.30am to 4.30pm with XI standard students in attendance. It was a very informative and interactive training programme with theory and practical demonstrations.
