As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Making an Impact, One Activity at a Time!
Tree Plantation Drive – Planting of 170 Saplings
From 11th to 13th October 2025, over a span of three days, we, the P S T of Lions Club of Hubli City, actively participated in a wonderful green initiative led by our club member Ln. Channu Hosmani, who also serves as the President of Green Association Karnataka. As part of this initiative, 170 saplings were planted at Jagath Jyothi Basaveshwar A.P.M.C., Hubli, with the support of our fellow Lion members and several non-Lion volunteers. On the final day of the plantation drive, fruits were distributed to all the volunteers as a token of appreciation for their valuable contribution.

ATTENDED INTER REGION CLUB TWINNING- Lions Club Sirsi (Region 12) and Lions Club Yellapur (region 7)
Lions Club Sirsi (Region 12) conducted an inter-region club twinning program with Lions Club Yellapur (Region 7) at Lions Bhavan Sirsi. I had the privilege to attend the meeting as the Zone Chairperson. The PSTs and members of both clubs actively participated in the event. Zone Chairperson for Yellapur Club, MJF Lion Suresh Borkar, was also present on the occasion. Both clubs shared details of their ongoing service activities and discussed their plans of action. The meeting was conducted in a very cordial atmosphere, marked by excellent fellowship and mutual understanding between the two clubs. Mental Health Service Week - Managing Work Related Stress and Creating a Supportive Work Environment..
An Interactive talk was conducted for the staff of Hyatt Centric, Candolim on the topic "Managing Work Related Stress and Creating a Supportive Work Environment" by Ms Akila Sadik of Beautiful Minds Wellness Services. The session covered a detailed self analysis of what part of the work is stressfuland what are the possible and healthy ways to manage the stress. A light dance session was also conducted to add fun to the session.

Lions Club of Sankhali Felicitated three Service Personal
Lions club of Sankhali on 15 th October 2025 conducted felicitation of 3 service person in recognition of their achievements in service to the community. The three felicities were namely Dr. Sanjay Bandekar, opthalmologist, Mr. Sanjay Rama Parwadkar Assistant Director of Transport and Mr. Naresh Datye, retired banker and social worker. Region Chairperson PMJF Lion Prashant Chanekar was the Chief Guest for the felicitation program. The service person were felicitated by chief guest RC PMJF Ln Prashant Chanekar.

The Lions club of Candolim organized an interactive talk for students Don Bosco's Welfare Centre in Parra on "Managing Emotions and Building Self Esteem. The interactive talk was conducted by Ms Akila Sadik, a psychological counsellor from Beautiful Minds Wellness Services.
