Special Initiative: Weeks of service

As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Service Focus Weeks

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Making an Impact, One Activity at a Time!

Lions Global Hunger week 9th day.

Lion Global Hungry Week 9th Day on 11th January 2026. LIONS Club of Canacona and Leo Club of Canacona crushed the 9 days Lion International programme Eradication Hunger week. In the morning session our Club honored role model farmers distributed 50 packets of different vegetable seeds. And in the evening session provide cooked meal to 80 students and 15 staff at Mataji Mandir Vidhyarthi Vastigraha, Tembewada Canacona Goa. Whole day 20 Lion Members and 15 Leo Members took initiate to success this event spending 30000 and 2 hrs to make great success of these events.

Lions Global Hunger week 8th day.

Lion Global Hunger week 8th day on 10th January 2026. Lions Club of Canacona and Leo Club of Canacona on Lion Global Hunger week on 8th day on 10th January 2026 our Club given cooked meal to 80 students and 20 teaching staff to the Mataji Mandir students vastigrha on 10th January 2026. This is our successful programme on 8th day of Lion Global Hunger Eradication week. 20 Lions Members and 15 Leo Members participated and send Rs.25000/- and 2 hrs. to success these events.

Lions club Gangavathi in association with Lions PU college , Celebrated National Youth day and Sri Swamy Vivekananda's jayanthi at Lions PU college. Ln.Dr.Jambunath Gouda ,President Ln.Shivakumar Malipatil ,Ln.Shivappa Gali ,Administrator Chandregouda were participated the event.

Reliving the hunger

Yesterday on 11-01-2026 We the Lions Club Mahalingapur Green Basin has conducted events Under the banner of Weeks of Service with Hunger being the focus, groceries of 50 Kits worth Rs.2000/- were donated to an underprivileged 50 family in Nandagoan, Akkimaradi and Dhavaleswar Villages.

New Year Dhamaka

21 members of our club attended and participated in New Year Dhamaka held at Island View, Uthorda. The arrangements and entertainment were arranged excellently by DG team. This celebration will linger in our members minds for a long long time.

Zone Advisory Meeting

Our beloved Zone Chairperson Lion Malhari Divate called the Zone Advisory meeting. It was well attended by 7 members. The ZC insisted for +ve membership growth of all clubs.
