As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Today's Hunger Activity Food Distribution at Chitguppi Hospital On Friday, 9th Jan 2026 Thank all Members, successfully carried out service activity as part of Global Hunger Week, food was served at Chitguppi Hospital premises for patients, attenders and the general public. Celebration of Melvin Jones Birth Anniversary
Lions club Gangavathi celebrated Melvin Jones Birth anniversary, the founder of Lions Clubs International on 13th January 2026 with children of mentally challenged school. Lions club president Ln.Dr.Shivakumar Malipatil , Secretary Ln.Jambanna Ayli,treasurer Ln.Shivappa Gali were distributed sweets to children.

A SPECIAL NUTRITIVE FOOD DISTRIBUTION TO PREGNANT WOMEN WAS ARRANGED ON 05.01.2026 AT GANESH MANDIR OF GOVERN HOSPITAL GOKAK.DR.SHWETA NARRATED THE IMPORTANCE OF NUTRITION FOOD DURING PREGNANCY AND DR.MRS MURGOD EXPLAINED THE IMPORTANCE OF CHILD NUTRITION.120 PREGNANT WOMEN WERE SERVED NUTRITIVE FOOD.MEMBERS OF LIONS CLUB AND DOCTORS OF GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED.

THE HUNGER SERVICE WEEK WAS INAGUARATED BY THE CLUB AT GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL GOKAK .TALUKA MEDICAL OFFICER FORMALLY INAGUARATED THE PROGRAM AND 250 PACKETS OF CARE MEALS WERE DISTRIBUTED TO THE M C H WARD INDOOR PATIENTS .MOST OF THE LION MEMBERS AND MEDICAL OFFICERS OF THE HOSPITAL WERE PRESENT.

The first general meeting of the month of January has been organized on 14.1.2026 The topics to be discussed in the meeting are as follows. 1) Regarding making our Jamkhandi Club a Golden Club as per the request of DG. 2) Regarding celebrating Road Safety Week from 11.01.2026 – 17.01.2026. 3) Regarding organizing a program to attach radium to dividers. 4) Regarding submitting an application for the reconstruction of Lions Bus Shelter near GLBC Cross. 5) Regarding submitting an application to the Bus Depot Manager for a bus stop near Kadapatti Jagadishwara Temple. 6) Regarding undertaking a tour to Hyderabad on February 7th and 8th. 7) Breast Milk Bank – About starting a permanent project
