As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Service Focus Weeks

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Tree Plantation Activity of Lions Club Of Mapuca

MJF Lion Goculdas Nagvenkar attended the Tree Plantation Activity of the LC Mapuca along with 4 other members at Assagao. The activity was in collaboration with Assagao Communidade .

District Governor MJF Lion Jai Amol Nayak and cabinet secretary Dr. Kirthi visited Maski and joined hands in planting 50 trees at several places including temples. RC Dr. Mallikarjun Ithli, DC Dr. Divatar, DC Shivaraj Ithli and other senior members were present during this event.

Breast Cancer Screening camp at Netravali Sanguem-Goa

Breast Cancer Screening and awareness camp was organised by Lions club of Alem De Margao jointly with YOUWECAN, Uttam Phaldessai Trust and Arogya Dham on 20.08.2025 from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm at Netravali, Sanguem-Goa on the eve of birthday of our club member and Hon'ble Minister for Social Welfare, River Navigation, Archives and Archeology MJF Lion Subhash Phal Dessai. Total 21 ladies took the benefit of the same. Project chairperson was MJF Lion Swati Surlakar, District GMT- Family and Women's specialist. Total 21 ladies from rural areas where there is lack of medical facilities were screened on this occasion

Official visit of our Zone Chairperson MJF Lion Krishnaji Bagli, Zone -2 was held on 20.8.2025 at Govt Higher secondary school sanguem -Goa from 7.30 am to 10.30 am. Our Zone chairperson inaugurated the Diabetes and Blood pressure detection Camp. Lions club Gangavathi conducted Krishna janmastami , Krishna fancy dress competition event in association with lions primary school. More than 70 students participated. We have distributed prizes to all participants.
