As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

As the Zone chairperson attended the activity of Lions club of Vasco da Gama where the club visited Sub district hospital ( cottage hospital) Chicalim, the Antenatal ward and maternity ward as world breastfeeding week was on from 1st -7th August. Mrs Karishma Kerkar an Extension educator gave an awareness talk to pregnant ladies on importance of breast feeding to the mother and the baby. The club also distributed nutritious food and fruits to the pregnant ladies and delivered ladies. 60 people were served and President Lion Shilpa Pacharane. Region chairperson MJF Lion Premanand Kerkar , Urban health centre Vasco -Health department incharge Mrs. Karishma kerkar, Project chairperson Lion Vanshika Rane and other Lion members were present.
