As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

5.uniform distribution and Van Mahotsav at Govt. High School Xeldem Quepem Goa Lions Club Of Curchorem Sanvordem distributed 25 School Uniforms for the needy 5th Std Students of Govt High School Xeldem Quepm Goa on Saturday 12-07-2025. our Club Member Lion Rajendra Bhandari generously sponsored the school uniforms and contributed towards the noble cause. We have celebrated Vanmohatsav at Govt High school Xeldem . Planted 4 saplings in school premises and distributed 30 plant saplings to students and teachers. Also we have given Handcrafted Seed Bomb ( Seed Ball ) to teachers and other staff of school. The Programme was Attended by our club PST and other club members Along with school Headmistress, School management, Teachers and students.

Dindi Procession participated

3.Dindi Procession participated organized by shree chandreshwar Bhootnath Higer Secondary School Ambaulim Quepem Goa The Lions Club of Curchorem Sanvordem Participated in the vibrant and devotional Dindi Procession organized by Shree Chandreshwar BHootnath Higher Secondary School Ambaulim Quepm Goa. Dindi Procession, a traditional spiritual event that holds cultural and religious significance in Maharashtra and Goa. The Dindi, marked by singing Abhangas and carrying palkhi in honor of Lord Vithoba and Rukmini , was unique opportunity for our cub to engage with the school community and uphold our commitment to cultural heritage and service. Our Club distributed refreshments and water to pilgrims and participants along the route. Our Club PST, District Chairperson Lion Avin Naik and lion CA vaibhav Bale and other club members were attended the Event. Total 130 students and other local participated in Dindi procession.

Lions club of Curchoem and Sanvordem had its 4 th BOD installation

Lions club of Curchoem and Sanvordem had its 4 th BOD installation on 6th July at SR BANQUET Hall @ Curchorem by installation officer Lion MJF Sudesh Borkar,2nd VDG under leadership of President Lion Sameer Naik, Secretary Lion Nilkanth (Siddhu) Pai and Treasurer Lion Ashwin D'Souza. 2 New members were added in the club. Ln Renzilla Ashwin D'souza (Teacher ) Ln Siddhi Prabhu Pawaskar (Panch member & Social Worker) Chief guest for the Function was Mr.Guruprasd R Pawaskar, State Commissioner for person with Disabilities, Govt. Of Goa who in his precise address highlighted the need for and importance of service recalling the examples of how Lions helped with Ambulance on the Porvorim road in 1980s and 1990s and many more such humanitarian Serices by Lions. 11 toppers in standard 10th from 10 different schools in Curchorem sanvordem area were felicitated. Also, 3 distinguished personalities were felicitated for their outstanding achievements, two from the field of agriculture and one from the field of science and technology. Our Club member Lion Avin Naik Felicitated with the Best Zone Chairperson awards for the year 2024-2025. As a token of love and appreciation, we presented each of our esteemed invitees with a handcrafted seed bomb (Seed Ball) After the event.
