Special Initiative: Weeks of service
As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.
Service Focus Weeks
- MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING: October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
- HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
- ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day
Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Mandatory visit to Lions club of Gokarna
On 25th September-2025, I paid my visit to Lions club, Gokarna. The meeting was well arranged and along with P.S.T 20 members and MJF Ln R.H. Nayak R.D.C. for Environment were present. The Service activity report presented was very good and proved all the members are active. During my observational speech I advised them to concentrate on Governor's Programme and International Presidential guidelines while organising activities. The review of the club suggested that while giving awards or recognition it should be based on the basis of Service activities done and not to be on the basis of membership growth and MJF only. I have promised them that this year it will not be done so. Already 3 MJF is added and promised 5 new members before November 2025. The meeting was very cordial and worth memorable.
