As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Service Focus Weeks

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

Hearing and Speech Aid activity

Hearing and Speech Aid activity of the District was conducted at Old Goa Panchayat Hall . The mobile van along with the medical staff came and approx 70 odd patients were tested . Lions club of Old Goa and Lions Club of Panjim Greater were part of the organizing.

Online Video Conference Meeting was conducted on 29th october 2025 on the topic Reporting of activities on District and international portal.

Online Video Conference Meeting was conducted on 29th october 2025 on the topic Reporting of activities on District and international portal. This meeting was conducted in line with District Governors guidelines and action programme. This activity was headed by myself and DC for Lions Portal Lion Shantaram Naik and DC for IT Support Lion Shivprada Katyanshetty and IT team volunteer members supported the event. altogether 20 plus clubs joined online and link of the recorded session uploaded on the whats app groups for later use by the clubs those who couldn't join live.

Swatch bharat abhiyan.cleanliness drive

Club in association with village panchayat varca and primary health centre chinchinm conducted cleanliness drive at varca village This drive was undertaken in all 9 wards of varca and almost 100 bags of dry waste was collected.varca panchayat sarpanch and other panch members also participated in the drive.This activity was attended by Zone chairman Lion gaurish vernekar.

UNSDG world Mental Health awareness

UNSDG world Mental Health activity was conducted at Old Goa . Skit was presented in the public in front of Bascillica of Bom Jesus church . Also Rally was conducted from Gandhi Circle the church Road . Skit was presented by students of MES college Zuari Nagar. The activity was conducted on 7th Oct . Dur to system constraints in reporting date is put as 8th Oct . Zone clubs attended this activity .

EYE SCREENING CAMP IN VENKATAGIRI VILLAGE- 1 DAY CAMP

:"Lions Eye Hospital" Koppal conducted an eye screening camp in Venkatagiri. Total 125 people were screened for various eye problems out of which 50 members underwent free cataract surgery.

DIALYSIS UNIT REPORT

The Lions club of Koppal has been running a modern Dialysis center since 2016 .It has advanced infrastructure and well equipped instruments with air conditioning units for the smooth conduct of Dialysis for persons suffering from Chronic Kidney Disorders. For the month of October 2025 (From 01/10/2025-31/10/2025) 116 patients have underwent dialysis.
