Special Initiative: Weeks of service

As we embark on a new year of service, we are excited to introduce our Service Focus Weeks for 2025-2026. These weeks are designed to create a global impact by concentrating our efforts on specific causes. By aligning our service activities, we can amplify our impact and visibility, showing the world the power of collective action.

Service Focus Weeks

  • MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:  October 4 - 12, 2025 Aligns with World Mental Health Day
  • HUNGER: January 3 - 11, 2026, Celebrate Melvin Jones' Birthday
  • ENVIRONMENT: April 18 - 26, 2026 Aligns with Earth Day

Each week of service will incorporate two weekends to allow clubs maximum flexibility in their planning. We encourage to engage our district clubs with these causes throughout the year, but during these specific weeks, we aim to create a unified, global impact.

3rd Dec – Display of Banners on keeping Goa green and clean

Six banners were displayed during the St. Francis Xavier feast as part of the PR activity. The banners were sponsored by DC for Waste Management, MJF Lion Gajanan Golatkar, conveying the message of keeping Goa green and clean.

Crib Making Competition

The Lions Club of Old Goa, on the occasion of Christmas Week, organized a Crib Competition for the residents of Old Goa, Carambolim, Karmali, and Corlim villages. A total of 12 entries were received, and the best three were selected as winners by the jury members. The awards will be distributed during the Charter Nite

Cultural program as a part of Goa Liberation Day Celebration

A small cultural program was presented by the students of the Govt. Primary School, Mallar. Speeches were also delivered highlighting the significance of the day. Lions President Ln. Daniel Gonsalves was the Chief Guest for the function and unfurled the National Flag on the occasion.present for the function. The following Lions members attended the programme: President Ln. Lions Club of Old Goa participated in the celebration of Goa Liberation Day at GPS Mollar. Lions President Ln. Daniel Gonsalves was the Chief Guest for the function and unfurled the National Flag on the occasion. Panchayat Members, PTA President, Headmaster, teachers, and parents were present for the function.
